In the past year, we’ve seen people really push themselves and take their productivity to a whole new level. There are people out there who have mastered painting, taken up cooking and even learnt a new musical instrument.
Today, we are not talking to these people.
We’re not here to tell you to do 100 push-ups a day, or bake banana bread for your neighbour. That’s Insta’s job. We’re here for the few of you who are very comfortable doing nothing with your time.
First of all, kudos to all of you. It takes a certain level of zen, to be this zen. That being said, in the unlikely event you do contract ‘habit-itis’, we thought we could help with some simple habits you can develop without having to break a sweat. Think of it like a habits-for-beginners guide.
Such are the times we live in that a runny nose can send shivers down spines. While we understand the trepidation, it is our duty as a society to keep politeness alive. So the next time someone goes aaachooo, instead of a death stare, perform a good ol’ throwback and say, “God bless you”.
Have you been syncing the start of a meal with the start of a new episode? ??? However, it is rare for you and your family to all be at home together, right? So, how about one dedicated slot with the fam? We get that family time can be getting a bit much now, but see it this way, one meal spent with them is one more episode you can save for later.
Spend some time away from the screen, and more quality time with your couch. Less binge watching shows, more binge watching the ceiling.
We don’t mean the heavy lifting. We mean the smaller stuff like setting the table, reheating food, transferring food into smaller plates, and so on. Tried doing that, but mom shouted at you for doing it wrong? You can order in, to give your family chef a break.
Seemingly small video calls can lift spirits in a big way. So whenever you can, do connect with your friends. In case your friends are introverts, we recommend texting over calling.
